About Eric Briggs:
Coach Eric Briggs has coaches 17 years on the high school level, while serving as an Associate Scout for the Kansas City Royals. He also serves as the President of the Missouri Coaches Association. He’s also the author of 9 Types of Ground Balls which can be found on Amazon.
Coach Briggs begins his fifth season as a high school coach for the Midwest Nationals Baseball Organization where is works with high school infielders and hitters. Before working with the Midwest Nationals, he was a head baseball coach for 17 years at the high school level where his teams played with a high level of consistency. In 11 years at Lakeland High School in Deepwater, Missouri, his teams won 4 conference championships and played in 9 straight district championship games, advancing to the state playoffs once. In 6 years at Bolivar High School in Bolivar, Missouri, his teams won the first conference championship since 1974 and played in the first district title in 10 years.
Briggs begins his third year as a part time scout for the Kansas City Royals. He became an associate scout for the Kansas City Royals in 2009. In 2013, he attended scout school in Arizona and was hired for the 2014 season.
